St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee is the fourth hospital to open under the umbrella of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. Our Werribee campus is expecting a significant increase in the demand for its services. We are therefore recruiting for a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist. This position will involve working clinically across a variety of clinical specialities. The position will also provide opportunities to be involved in department projects under the leadership of the Assistant Director Perioperative & Clinical Services and Senior Leadership team

The services available at our Werribee campus include orthopaedic, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions.

Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, and a rehabilitation gymnasium. 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).

  • Have several years post graduate experience in a variety of clinical settings

  • Have strong, clinical skills and experience relevant for acute and rehabilitation Occupational Therapy

  • Well developed interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and practices with a high level of integrity and professionalism

  • Have the ability to identify clinical risk and implement strategies to minimise risk

  • Have experience training and mentoring others including students (preferred)

  • Have previous experience working in Rehabilitation and Private hospital settings (preferred)
