An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Midwifery Group Practice as a Clinical Midwife (Caseload Midwife). The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.

Cairns Hospital Maternity Service includes a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) model as an option for care. MGP offers pregnant women individualised, woman-centred care with a named and known midwife who works with one or more midwives to provide care from early pregnancy, throughout labour and birth and up to four weeks after birth. This model operates alongside other models of care in the maternity service, the MGP midwives working collaboratively with the Obstetric team, unit Midwifery team, and other health professionals.
