An opportunity for a Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our Holden Hill team on a part-time basis!
Greencross Vets Holden Hill is co-located in a very busy Petbarn store; we have a great relationship with our Petbarn team, offering healthcare, advice and benefits for our clients and their pets all under one roof!
Our clinic boasts experienced support staff and a lovely, loyal clientele base. With 2 consult rooms, sterile theatre and all the mod-cons, you're equipped to provide the highest of standards in patient care. Our clinic is close to the city, and local to recreational and dog friendly parks, being less than 30 minutes from Adelaide's centre.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about training and mentorship – you’ll be a strong patient advocate and able to maintain high levels of care, being a point of guidance and development to our more junior nurses.
About Your New Role

• Part Time role - 30 hours a week
• Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
• Performing minor procedures when required
• Caring, handling and cleaning all animals
• Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
• Reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients
  

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• 4+ years of experience
• An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Experience in training junior staff advantageous
• Calm and friendly attitude
• Good organisational, communication and customer service skills
• Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
• Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
