An excellent opportunity is currently available for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Advisor to join the OHS team at Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Australia's leading Medical Research Institute.
The OHS Advisor will be responsible for providing specialist OHS advice and support to ensure that OHS compliance requirements and quality assurance standards are met within the area. The OHS Advisor acts as a first contact for all OHS matters, injury management, and emergency management and facilitates and maintains the OHS communications within the Hudson Institute. The OHS Advisor will liaise and maintain working relationships with senior management, research and professional staff and students to ensure consistent safe and compliant work practices are met (where applicable).
The OHS Advisor will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing OHS practices and systems within the organization. This role offers the opportunity for a seasoned professional to collaborate with stakeholders across the Institute, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the implementation of best practices in occupational health and safety.
The OHS Advisor is part of the Health and Safety team at the Hudson Institute and will report to the Health and Safety Manager.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This position is available in a Full time Part time (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Scientific Support Group Tap 7. As a not-for-profit organization, employees have access to generous salary packaging options.
