The Registered Nurse in Outpatient Clinics:

  • Works closely with our administrative and nursing team to deliver safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals
  • Has opportunity to work directly with our patients in the department, as well as provide support to the many patients awaiting care on our waiting lists
  • Has opportunity to cover leave in specialised nursing areas such as Stomal therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Paediatric Outpatient clinics

The team:

This role will work as part of the Outpatient Clinics team at the North West Regional Hospital.

The Outpatient Department at the North West Regional Hospital has 14 consulting rooms. We offer general medical, surgical, gynaecology, orthopaedic, respiratory, paediatric, stomal therapy, cardiology, cardiac rehab neurology, neurosurgical, dermatology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, gerontology, nephrology, staff health, immunology and various procedure clinics and nurse led clinics. The team consists of administrative staff, nursing (EN and RN), graduate nurses, CNCs, Nurse Practitioner, and technicians. The environment is fast paced, ever changing and requires excellent time management skills on all levels.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are able to join the team

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
