THE POSITION

An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Specialist Psychiatrists in Addiction Medicine to join our client in Queensland.Working within the Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, you will provide assessment and treatment services for individuals with alcohol and other drug use disorders in both inpatient and community settings.Your role will involve providing leadership within the department to enhance care quality, develop care processes, monitor emerging issues, and drive positive change.Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential attributes for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Participate in clinical governance activities and contribute to service development and improvement initiatives

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or approved equivalent.
• Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia
• AHPRA Registration
• Australian Working Rights
• Working with Children Check
