About the role

Damascus Health Services located within Brisbane Private Hospital are seeking experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join their Mental Health department on either a part time or full time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Brisbane Private is a 181-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 15 operating theatres and 2 more to be opened in April 2024, conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, general surgery, Rehabilitation and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

 As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Administer medications according to state law and organization policy
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice
  • Minimum 2 years as an EN within a hospital or Drug & Alchohol setting
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Advanced Diploma in Mental Health (desired)
  • Enrolled Nurse Qualification in Monitoring and Administering IV Medications
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Advanced level of clinical skills (desired)
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
