Are you a midwife who wants to return to midwifery after time out of the profession? Are you a midwife looking to upskill in a high acuity midwifery hospital?

Central Gippsland Health Service now has limited opportunities for Registered Midwives to refresh and progress their career within a supportive education and tertiary based environment.

About the role

We are looking for Registered Midwives interested in a supportive refresher or upskilling program.

Situated in our maternity wards and birth suites, you will be provided with support and education by highly skilled educators, clinical support employees and your supportive colleagues.

For those who may have not been practicing and wish to return to a career in midwifery after time out from the profession, or those who wish to upskill within a fast-paced maternity service, we will align a program that is suited to your clinical skill to ensure you develop into a confident and safe practitioner.

  • You are passionate about midwifery and woman-centred care and wish to grow your career.
  • You thrive working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • You are committed to working 3-5 days per week (part-time/full-time).
  • You are focused on delivering a high standard of evidence-based women and family centred care, encompassing the full continuum of care.
