ABOUT THE ROLE: 

A great opportunity for a Registered Midwife to join the Mercy Hospital for Women's Fetal Monitoring Unit - working in a multidisciplinary team, caring for women with high and low risk pregnancies.

  • Fetal Monitoring Unit
  • 0.3 EFT 
  • Work within a highly motivated multidisciplinary team to enhance knowledge of high risk pregnancy
  • The Fetal Monitoring Unit works closely alongside Mercy's Perinatal Medicine Department -
  • Care for women requiring fetal surveillance - CTG and basic obstetric ultrasounds
  • Care to women requiring intravenous transfusions and assist with perinatal procedures

ABOUT YOU:

  • Hold a current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
  • Experience working across all areas of midwifery and preferably within a birthing suite and/or emergency department
  • A confident practitioner in CTG interpretation, holding a level 3 RANZCOG certificate
  • Credentialed or keen to upskill in basic third trimester ultrasound skills - presentation scan, AFIs and uterine artery dopplers
  • Competent in intravenous cannulation
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise, adapt and offer mentoring and supervision to midwifery students and colleagues
  • Provide person-centred care and the ability to work in a team environment
