Vet Nurse - Greencross Mandurah

Greencross Vets Mandurah is a large and fully equipped clinic, with a Petbarn retail store onsite right next door.We are looking for a Qualified Vet Nurse to join our amazing team on a Casual Basis!

We are a close-knit community focused practice and we love to go the extra mile to ensure that all our pet parents and their wonderful animals get the best possible experience when they visit our clinic. Our clients are loyal locals and our patients range from dogs and cats to rabbits and birds.

What are we looking for?

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Confident in a fast-paced clinic
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with Rx works (preferred but not essential)

Ultimately, someone who is committed and eager to develop their knowledge and skills in a supportive and friendly environment.

What you’ll be doing each day:

  • Casual role undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
  • Performing minor procedures when required
  • Caring, handling and cleaning all animals
  • Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients
