Vet Nurse Wanted – Locum Position (Fixed contract, 2 months, 30 hours per week)
Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital are currently searching for a locum nurse.
We are a young, dynamic, and lovely team of Vets, Nurses and dedicated Receptions who strive to deliver the very best in veterinary care. Our team has developed a reputation for delivering exceptional customer service, putting the health and wellbeing of our patients first and our care for each other. Our nurses are always supported by our lovely team of vets and encouraged to get involved in all aspects.
The type of team member we are looking for will have…

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with 2-3 years of Veterinary Nursing experience
• Able to monitor surgery procedures both standard and complex
• Passion for consult nursing
• A passion for providing excellent standards of patient care and exceptional customer service
• An ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of the team
• An ability to self-manage, problem solve and show initiative but also take direction
• A genuine love for animals and their people!

What we can offer you!

• Lifestyle friendly working hours. We don’t work overtime, 9am-4pm Saturdays (1 in 3) and areclosed on Sundays and Public Holidays
• Remuneration is dependent on experience
• Our current nurses are all highly trained, taking on responsibilities such as nurse consults, catheterplacement, blood collection, performing in-house pathology, inducing anaesthesia and intubation to name a few.
• Fortnightly team meetings when we close the hospital for 2 hours to hold a full team meetingwhere every staff member can feel heard and have ideas exchanged
