As the Registered Nurse – Structural Heart Coordinator you are responsible for providing nursing support to Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologist in a facilitated clinic setting for the assessment of patients for structural heart procedures. You are also responsible for the collation of data and prepare the presentation of these patient s at MDT meetings.

What you'll do:

  • Provide a high level of nursing support to Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologist in a facilitated clinic setting for the assessment of patients for structural heart procedures
  • Collate data and prepare the presentation of structural heart patients at MDT meetings..
  • Attend at structural heart procedures.
  • In conjunction with Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologist provide follow up care for these patients.
  • Implement and comply with quality processes and mechanisms as required and suggest positive improvements to systems, processes, procedures, workflows and workloads to ensure the delivery of a quality structural heart service to Advara HeartCare patients.
  • Participate actively in own professional development to ensure currency with nursing qualifications.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all patients, carers the Clinical Services Team and Administration Team to deliver high quality patient care outcomes. Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders including specialist doctors, and key other internal and external contacts.

Who you are:

  • Must have undergraduate nursing degree and registered with AHPRA
  • 5 years minimum experience in a cardiology or cardiac related nursing role
  • Proven success working in a team of healthcare professionals
  • Experience in a busy, time pressured clinic environment
  • Familiarity with the use of IT systems both to support clinic operations and data management
  • Demonstrated effective clinical and non-clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload. With the ability to effectively manage resources and competing priorities, and problem solve on the spot.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD) and willingness and ability to train in new modalities within Medical Imaging as the opportunities arise
  • Excellent patient care skills with a demonstrated ability to show a friendly, sensitive and professional approach when dealing with patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new processes and procedures.
