The Role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team. Full-time, part time, and casual positions are available.

Your primary duties will be supporting our guests with medication and general medical care during their residential program. You will provide holistic care to our guests, while identifying and managing medical risks. You will work closely with the Clinical Director, GP's and Psychiatrists e to support our guests in their medication needs, as well as being point of contact for first aid and medical emergencies.

The successful candidate will be required to hold the following qualifications and/or certifications:

  • A qualification as a Registered Nurse,
  • Registration with APHRA,
  • Valid CPR qualification, and
  • Valid First Aid qualification, and a
  • Police/Background Check

The Day-to-Day

The Registered Nurse will hold responsibility for the following tasks and these will make up the majority of the work for the successful candidate:

  • Support the client admission process, via reviewing assessment documentation and elevating concerns,
  • Support client orientation by supporting the Registered Nurse through the arrival medical screening,
  • Work collaboratively to support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures, and workflows in the areas on medical governance,
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date notes in alignment with organisational policies,
  • Identify and report risks prior to escalation,
  • Participate in crisis management as required,
  • Participate in client support for all guests, and
  • Other tasks as directed by senior management.
  • It is highly regarded for the successful candidate to have previous experience in a mental health space or similar. You will need to have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to develop rapport quickly. Experience in risk identification is highly regarded as will be the potential to remain objective in caring for our guests.
