Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit experienced ICU Nurse to join our brand new Bank Team within the Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital.

The flexible nature of temporary work on the Bank at Cleveland Clinic London is an excellent choice for a huge variety of people and circumstances. Whether you are looking for something to fit around education or around family and other commitments, the opportunities are vast with the staff bank.

We have shifts available on the following patterns:

Monday to Sunday Long Days:  07:30-20:00 

Monday to Sunday Nights:  19:30-08:00 

Bank Holidays:   07:30-20:00 & 19:30-08:00

Our expert Critical Care nursing team is a dynamic group of decision-makers who work collaboratively to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of our patients. What will your duties include?

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with CCL’s established policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Prioritise nursing care, recognizes deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to the NMC code of conduct and acts as the patient advocate at all times.

What we need from you?

  • At least 12 months ICU experience within the last 3 years within an acute hospital setting
  • Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice.
  • Demonstrable clinical experience in the field of high acuity critically-ill adults with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, continuous and intermittent hemodialysis, and vasoactive intravenous medications in a hospital setting.
  • Wide range of experience working in critical care specialties including cardiac and cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal, and GI surgery.
  • Completed Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course
