The role:

The Registered Nurse/Midwife - Clinical Coach:

  • Contributes to workplace activities and works collaboratively in assisting and supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in achieving the goals of the service by contributing to workplace activities beyond the immediate responsibility of delivering clinical care to clients. This will include the Clinical Coach Portfolio, with active involvement in clinical education; clinical leadership and management; safety and quality; and practice development.
  • Contributes to positive client outcomes by facilitating the competence and confidence of novice clinicians via clinical coaching.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift-worker position working 44 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $96,558 - $102,908 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and/or a Registered Midwife (for midwifery settings only)

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

A minimum of three years’ experience within the setting

Possess or working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications appropriate to clinical area

  • Membership with the relevant professional organisation (e.g. Australian College of Nursing, ACM, ACORN, ACCCN)
