Head Surgical Nurse

Full-time - 12 month Maternity Leave Contract

About Your New Role:

• Full Time role Managing the day-to-day operations of the department
• Nurse training and development
• Overseeing nursing care and client services
• Leading and developing the nursing team and building a positive team culture
• Working closely with the AEC department leaders and the Business Manager
• Workforce planning including rosters and recruitment
• Clinical shifts as part of the nursing roster
• Inventory management
• Administrative tasks including Kronos – wage management
• 12-month Maternity Leave contract

About Your Skills & Experience:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nuse or Bachelor of Veterinary Technician
• 3 + years experience in a FT role
• Team building skills with previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team
• Exceptional organizational skills
• A keen eye for rostering
• Ability to work autonomously
• Keen sense of your professional identity and the importance of vet nursing, reception and animal attendants in a successful workplace
