Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) interested in transitioning your career to work in Theatres? Healthscope are offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Perioperative Nurse, specialising in Anaesthetics & PACU.

About the role:

Healthscope provides amazing experiences for nurses aspiring to gain specialisation in Theatres. Through a contemporary market leading career pathway program, designed to accelerate qualifications whilst providing a nurtured and supported learning environment, with guaranteed employment and commitment to your ongoing development.

This opportunity will see you join our team on a full time basis. We have designed a market leading 12-week Introduction to Perioperative Nursing (Anaesthetics & PACU) program. Where you will:

  • Be partnered with highly experienced Theatre Clinical Facilitator/s who are dedicated in supporting your development
  • Experience a blended learning program which is focused on on-the-job training and supported by comprehensive Training Materials and Coaching
  • If you are high performing and stay with us for 12mths+ full time, we will continue to invest in your on-going growth by supporting you to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing

The program will commence in June 2024 for 12 weeks with ongoing permanent employment post course completion.

About you:

  • 12+ months’ experience post registration
  • Current APHRA registration
  • Motivated to drive your career with a desire to transition into Theatre
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
  • A minimum of 12 months in Acute Care Nursing is desirable

Remuneration:

This position will be paid in accordance with National Capital Private Hospital Nursing Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021 and will pay between $36.41 - $49.20 per hour
