The Paediatric Outpatient Clinic encompasses a number of outpatient services, all providing family-centred care to children, young people and their families in Southern Tasmania. Different services that this role may be expected to work across include (but not limited to):

  • Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit
  • Paediatric Home Care Service
  • General Paediatric Clinics

Details of Appointment

Multiple fixed term, part-time day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately nine (9) months.

Classification
Registered Nurse, Grade 3-4

$75,902 - $102,908 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Working with Children Registration

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  • Conviction checks in the following areas:
  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
