Disrepair Lead Technician

Due to the expansion of our direct labor operations, we are looking for two Disrepair and Major Works Technicians.
We are looking for someone who can carry out internal and external repairs to the highest standard as instructed by the Planned Works Contract Manager. These works will include all Disrepair Works and/or insurance major works such as subsidence, fire, flood, and vehicle impact repairs in line with Paradigms standards and within set KPIs. You will also assist in monitoring contractor works undertaking joint visits with the Insurance Loss Adjuster and structural Engineers as required and assisting in producing a schedule of works for tender. To work in void properties or undertake other routine/reactive works as required.

Role-specific requirements (E = Essential) (P = Preferable)

  • Extensive experience in Multiple Trades and qualified in a minimum of 3 core trades. (E)
  • NVQ/BTEC or equivalent in a trade maintenance qualification (E)
  • Prior experience and demonstrable skills in all aspects of managing employees directly and sub-contractors preferably in the Social Housing Sector. (E)
  • An understanding of internal and external customers. (E)
  • Previous experience of delivering a high standard of customer-focused service. (E)
  • Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of issues/problems and personally resolve them. (E)
  • Is able to critique processes/procedures and can implement improvements that have a business benefit (E)
  • General understanding of all trade works (E)
  • Proficient in Quality inspecting works (E)
  • Health & Safety awareness including relevant H&S legislations. (E)
  • Have health and safety training to the required CITB industry standard. (P)
  • Excellent communication skills including e-mails & verbal communication. (E)
  • Computer literate (E)
  • Adaptable and flexible (E)
  • Personal Integrity (E)
  • Team Player (E)
  • Excellent Time Management skills. (E)
  • Full valid manual driving licence. (E)
  • Able to work on own initiative. Essential
