Public Sector People are working with a Regional council on the recruitment of an EHO for a three to six month contract.
Located in the West/North West Region of Victoria and located next to a large national park, you will be assisting council while they go through a permanent recruitment process.
Joining a small team , you will undertake food & health premises assessments, tobacco compliance, management of disease outbreaks, investigate reports of food contamination & illness, provide immunisation program support, respond to public health complaints and perform impact assessments following an emergency.
Seeking a qualified EHO with at least one year experience within Local Government. Flexible working arrangements, can offer limited office hours for those who will be commuting. Also open to part-time arrangements.
Competitive hourly rate and potential for accommodation expenses to be covered to. Seeking an ASAP start!
Requirements Include

• Bachelor of Health Science (Public and Environmental Health) or related qualification necessary for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer under the Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008.

• Proven ability to work as an effective team member, input into team processes, actively and positively contribute to team goals, and demonstrate positive behaviours and attitudes within the team environment.
• Experience in Victorian food safety risk assessments, PHWA nuisance investigations, tobacco control and other key Environment Health related roles including immunisation.
