About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as our Head of Estates and Caretaking Service in our Tenancy and Estates Services Management Team;leading, developing and promoting the Estate and Caretaking service, working with tenants and other key stakeholders to make our communities a great place to live and work and are Safe, Clean, Ambitious and Proud.

We will look to you to actively and effectively promote the Councils vision, values, aims, objectives and priorities; putting our tenants and leaseholders first, through the delivery of best value services.

About You

We are looking for candidates with the following experience/skills and abilities:

  • Experience of managing a team and a proven track record of delivering high quality estate and caretaking services or related service.
  • Proven experience, knowledge and understanding of the legal framework (acts and statutes) relating to housing services and people management.
  • Experience of management and thorough knowledge of legislation related to employment, housing services as well as health and safety.
  • Experience of delivering continuous improvement to a diverse community, managing risk and taking appropriate action where needed
  • It is essential that you have experience of engaging, motivating and developing people, leading the team to work collectively to achieve company objectives.
  • This role will require you to have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and you will work closely with colleagues and be able to develop effective relationships, working collaboratively to deliver the best results.
  • We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with effective planning skills and ability to manage multiple complex issues/projects, with the ability to negotiate and make effective decisions in a timely manner.
