About the Role
The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate, will be responsible for the delivery of high quality patient care within the team environment. The values and objectives of the Hospital, nursing service and the unit are understood and integrated into daily practice. The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for his/her own professional development, for supporting and assisting his/her colleagues and facilitating achievement of specific K.P.I’s as developed for unit.
 

Classifications for the EN position will range from IB68 - IB72 ($66,856 - $71,141 per annum).
Your Contribution

  • Utilizing the principles of person care and in conjunction with NUM and/or ANUM and the resident/ consumer assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care

  • Actively encourage residents/consumers to participate in management planning and or care programs while ensuring confidentiality and respect for the patients privacy

  • Accept responsibility for resident care in a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring clinical practice extends to the social and psychosocial needs of the resident

  • Actively participate in education and learning activities offered internally and as appropriate, externally

You will also have:

  • Current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • You have an understanding of relevant legislation, of the principles and practice of aged care, and a working knowledge of the Commonwealth Residential Care Standards and accreditation process.

  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Rehabilitation Unit

The Rehabilitation Unit is based at St Georges Hospital in Kew. It is a 20 bed unit specialising in the care of patients who are recovering from orthopaedic, muscoskeletal and neurological conditions/injuries. Care and discharge planning is provided by an inter-disciplinary team which includes the nursing team.
