Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a proficient Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our esteemed client's team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the smooth operation of the operating theatre environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available and adhere to sterile conditions.

Assist surgeons and medical professionals during surgeries by providing necessary instruments, sponges, and other essential items.

Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures, strictly adhering to infection control protocols.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide proactive assistance and support as required.

Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with positioning and transferring patients as necessary.

Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical equipment and waste in accordance with hospital policies.

Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and positive outcomes.

Requirements:

Minimum one year of prior experience working in medical theatres is mandatory.

NMC or HCPC registration is a prerequisite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Dedication to upholding high standards of patient care and safety.
