Position Overview:

Working for a Tier One contractor on a flagship project in North West Birmingham, There is a need for an Project based Safety professional to help with the delivery cycle of the project. This is a great opportunity to develop within a supportive, ambitious contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site Health and Safety support to the project team
• Oversee H&S documentation and ensure it is handled competently
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide H&S inductions, training and orientation to new and existing personnel, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
• Working closely with the Sustainability and Safety group functions to promote a high performing HSE culture
• Oversight of the sub-contract supply chain to ensure the highest standards are met

Required

• Ideally a diploma or NVQ level V qualification or working towards
• A good understanding of civil engineering disciplines (earthworks, piling, groundwork, sub-structures)
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• A flexible individual open to different working patterns
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a site
