Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile:  As part of a multidisciplinary team, plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates Occupational Therapy services to patients in the clinical area of Adult Community Mental Health using advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice skills. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care. Supervises Occupational Therapy staff and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance. Practices as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensures practice is in accordance to the Occupational Therapy professional and registration requirements, standards, codes and guidelines and EMHS policies and guidelines.

Area Profile:  Midland Community Mental Health Service is situated in the heart of Midland, is easily accessible via public transport and is close to the Midland Gate Shopping Centre. It is a multidisciplinary Tertiary Mental Health Service providing specialist Psychiatric Care and Care Coordination for eligible consumers aged from 18 in the Swan/Hills catchment. Multidisciplinary teams work with consumers to achieve their Recovery Goals and return to primary care in the community.
