Registrar or Principal House Officer (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) (Bundaberg)

Location: Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Bundaberg Hospital

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme

Remuneration:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $170,378 p.a., comprising salary between $125,808 - $145,865 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) and vocational training subsidy (L4-L9) (Temporary Full Time Position, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months). This position description is general for all Principal House Officers (PHO’s) in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. Specific duties will vary dependent upon the clinical specialty and some will be negotiated with the relevant consultant, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the individual. Each position is supervised by senior medical staff, although a reasonable degree of autonomy is expected. All PHO’s should provide leadership to junior residents working in the same clinical unit. Current/recent experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (within the last 2 years) is required. The Bundaberg Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School. Student placements occur throughout the year and medical staff is expected to work with the Clinical School in the education program.
