  • Remuneration:$39.16-$49.60 per hour, excluding superannuation and applicable loadings.

The Role:

We seek Registered Nurses with Intensive Care experience, excellent communication skills, and a desire to plan and deliver high-quality patient-centred care. Our Intensive Care Registered Nurses must utilise their advanced knowledge and clinical skills to provide complex and advanced nursing care to critically ill patients.

Within your role, you will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care within the ICU, ensuring care is delivered in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure that you accurately document your nursing and patient care and ensure you communicate with other team members. You will demonstrate flexibility that meets the changing needs of the patients within our unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely, complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient’s progress.
  • Participate in the Medical rounds to ensure communication of patient needs and changes.
  • Accurately and comprehensively handover nursing care of critically ill patients to nursing colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with the families of critically ill patients, including recognising the need to involve pastoral care services.

What you bring

  • Able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Recent demonstrated experience in an acute care facility and recent experience in Intensive Care.
  • Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
