We are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration to provide leadership for our Older Adult Acute Admission and Assessment Ward at New Craig’s Hospital, Inverness.
Working within the Older Adult Service of the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MH&LD) Directorate and reporting to the Hospital Manager the role is a permanent position working 37 hours a week.
The role provides professional clinical and operational leadership of the Nursing team in Morlich Ward working collaboratively with all members of the Multi Disciplinary team.
The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to lead the team in providing and maintaining patient focused, clinically effective care underpinned by clinical governance processes.
The role gives the opportunity to be part of the wider Senior Nursing team within MH&LD Services, develop and contribute to continuous professional development of the nursing team and contribute to service improvement.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
