About us:

Mount Morgan Multipurpose Health Service is a rural service 40 kms from the main referring centre of Rockhampton. It is an integrated service within a modern building servicing a total of 20 inpatient beds. 10 Acute and 10 Residential, 2 Emergency resus bays and multiple consultation rooms.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse to utilise their skills fully to height of scope or novice nurse looking to develop rural generalist knowledge, skills and developing expertise, working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional, safe, and reliable care is provided for our community. This role provides a registered nurse the opportunity to gain confidence as a nurse leader whilst developing clinical skills and knowledge in a rural service in areas of Emergency and interhospital transfer care, Acute medical inpatient care, subacute care, aged care, and outpatient services such as at risk wound care. Knowledge and skills that are applicable across the nursing continuum.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to comprehensive assessment plans, implement and evaluate patient care of individuals and groups in a rural hospital and MPHS setting.
  • Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities for contemporary nursing models of care.
  • Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their families.
  • Proven ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,224 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
