The role:  
The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and be driven by a desire to improve healthcare outcomes. You will be able to use exceptional communication, analytical and relationship management skills to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team. You will provide high level advice and guidance on the application of appropriate project management and governance responsibilities to multiple large ICT programs and projects within eHealth Queensland.  This includes planning and leading activities to facilitate a structured capability uplift in the areas of governance and risk management.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, managing and reporting against agreed specialised activities in the Capability Uplift Plan.
  • Facilitating effective communication and fostering relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
  • Leading the review and development of frameworks, guidelines and templates specifically in the areas of governance and risk management.
  • Writing governance correspondence and briefs.
  • Preparing presentations, workshops and feedback sessions.

Are you right for this role?
This role requires significant experience in the provision of support to large scale, complex IM/ICT programs and projects, specifically in the themes of governance and risk management.

Your well-developed analytical skills, negotiation and communication skills and an eye for detail, will enable you to effectively negotiate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the application of the project delivery framework, governance framework, risk management framework and supporting tools and templates.

You will have high level knowledge and application of appropriate project and program management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2 and MSP), and an ability to provide expert advice to senior managers and staff.

Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Advanced stakeholder management experience
  • Experience in a similar role providing services to a large and complex delivery portfolio.
  • Experience working within either the Government or Health sectors.
  • Knowledge of program and project management governance structures and roles.
  • Knowledge of sound risk management processes and practices.
  • Qualifications and professional certifications in one or more of the following fields will be highly desirable:
    • P3 management, e.g. Prince2®, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)®, Portfolio/Programme/Project Office (P3O) ®
