About us:

Mount Morgan MPHS is a rural service 40 kms from the main referring centre of Rockhampton. It is an integrated service within a modern building servicing a total of 20 inpatient beds. 10 Acute and 10 Residential, 2 Emergency resus bays and multiple consultation rooms. It provides a wide range of services including visiting services such as Podiatry, Dietitian, Optometrist, Dental and:  

  • Acute Care Services (inpatient, emergency, general outpatient care).
  • Midwifery led low risk Antenatal and post-natal care.
  • Community and Public Health Care including cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Residential Aged care and community health services.
  • Co-located General Practice service.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to utilise their skills fully in our dynamic rural service, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, medical leads and our community to provide exceptional care to our local population of Mount Morgan. This role provides an experienced Registered Nurse to gain confidence as a Nurse leader as well as being an ideal opportunity for consolidating nursing leadership in a more rural service.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as well as a relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of their performance and development plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, precept staff and contribute to professional nursing practice with confidence and integrity in the context of a rural generalist role.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality service with the primary focus on achievement of organisational goals for the good of others.
  • Competence in the application of clinical problem solving and effective coordination of person-centred care at an advanced level.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $116,829 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
