Making Tracks toward closing the gap in health outcomes for First Nations Queenslanders by 2033 policy and accountability framework provides the overarching policy directions to guide the Queensland Government's long-term effort towards closing the health gap by 2033. The Queensland Health Statement of Action has identified the importance of embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation in Queensland Health leadership, governance, and the workforce. However, a significant and unacceptable health gap remains. The Office leads the health equity reform agenda within Queensland Health to achieve life expectancy parity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and eliminate racial discrimination and institutional racism across the public health system.
