The role 

Your Role as the Senior Project Officer is to undertake a range of policy, continuous improvement, support and project management tasks within the Office of the Chief First Nations Health Officer.

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Demonstrated understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and subsequent health impacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations.
  • Provide advice on the efficient and effective office practices within the Office of the Chief First Nations Health Officer (OCFNHO), including the provision of advice and recommendations on business improvements, operational processes and correspondence management.
  • Provide advice and support in the implementation of the FNHO operational planproject governance ensuring alignment with Queensland Health strategic functions.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Coordination & Support team to ensure optimal quality in corporate governance, correspondence processes and operational excellence improvement initiatives.
