At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced  Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant to support our Rehabilitation Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.

The Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants (PTA/OTAs) are part of the dynamic Rehabilitation department team. The duties of a PTA/OTA are primarily clinical.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist the Physiotherapist with direct patient care activities including lifts, transfers and ambulation
  • Supervise patients and ensure completion of routine exercise programs and apply simple local treatment modalities
  • Document in the patient chart in keeping with the documentation policies of Sinai Health System and the RHPA
  • Maintenance of therapeutic equipment
  • Record workload measurement activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited community college occupational therapy/physiotherapy assistant program
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in acute care
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) internet and ability to work with computerized databases
  • Demonstrates organizational skills
  • Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem solving skills
  • Works independently as well as with team
  • Demonstrates satisfactory work performance and attendance history
