One of our clients is looking for a Health and Safety Specialist for their Winnipeg, MB location.

Responsibilities:

• Work hard in order to promote an OHS culture and create a continuous improvement and proactive OHS management cycle.
• Conduct Hazard Assessments, task, physical demands analysis, risk assessments and workplace inspections; and recomend corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation, such as work procedures and training documents
• Deliver safety training to all the stake holders of the company.
• Conduct internal audits; develop and implement a plan to address and remedy non-conformance issues.
• Lead incident and accident investigations.
• Guide the Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC)
• Provide support during the life cycle of a WSIB claim

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is strongly recommended

• 1-2 years' experience in an occupational, environmental, health or safety discipline

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to travel within North America

• CRSP, CRST or CSP designation, or the ability to obtain it is considered an asset
