An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Midwife to become part of the Dingwall Community Midwifery Team. This post is based in Dingwall and covers the Dingwall, Black Isle and Beauly caseloads.
We look after approximately 300 women per year and cover 9 GP practices. There may be occasions when the post holder may work within the other teams in Inner Moray Firth. The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach, be a good team player and have excellent time management skills. Community experience is desirable. This is a 26 hour post but other hours may be considered with a minimum of 22.5 hours.
There is an on call commitment required for the provision of a Home Birth/Domino service within the Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams.
A Full / current driving licence and use of own car is essential for this post.
Dingwall has excellent road and rail links and Inverness airport is only 22 miles away. Based 15 miles North West of Inverness which is the gateway to the Highlands and the start of the North Coast 500 which leads to stunning coastal scenery. Dingwall is close to many lovely spots for walks, wild swimming, mountain biking, and Munros for outdoor enthusiasts.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
