About the role

  • As part of the senior management team, the purpose of this role is for the provision of a high standard of medical services within the Caboolture Hospital Paediatric Emergency Department.
  • Up to 0.75FTE for duties as the Paediatric Clinical Director within the Emergency Department.
  • Each of the Emergency Department Clinical Director's (Adults and Paediatrics) report to the Emergency Department, Kilcoy, Woodford Service Line Medical Director for the Caboolture, Kilcoy & Woodford Clinical Directorate (CKW).
  • The two departments operate as a single integrated service with each component coordinated with and designed to support the other.
  • The Clinical Director of Paediatric Emergency Medicine will, in collaboration with the other clinical directors, take responsibility for the planning and management of medical care provided by the Department of Emergency Medicine.
  • As part of the medical leadership team, they will work collaboratively with the medical, nursing and allied health teams to provide a seamless continuum of care for the patients attending the Department. They will be required to provide clinical leadership and education for medical and other staff working in Emergency Medicine Services at Caboolture Hospital.
  • The Clinical Directors are responsible to assist the Service Line Medical Director in the management of the medical staff assigned to the Emergency Medical Services at Caboolture Hospital including roster management and delivery against performance and clinical outcome measures.
  • The Clinical Director will support the Service Line Medical Director by taking a lead role in the development of innovative and high-quality Paediatric Emergency Medicine services at Caboolture Hospital.
