About us:

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service team (Rockhampton) provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and psychotherapeutic intervention for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age with or with emerging severe and/or complex mental health conditions to the community of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Woorabinda, and Mount Morgan.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse delivers high quality evidence based clinical services in the therapeutic treatment of children and young people (and their family or carer networks) experiencing mental health issues and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. This includes crisis intervention, case management, therapeutic counselling, and physical health interventions, for example, physical health screening, observations and interventions and medication management.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practicing certificate.
  • Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) is highly desirable. If not Credentialed with ACMHN – then willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for certification as Credentialed Mental Health Nurse.

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
