Qualifications & experience

• AHPRA registered medical practitioner. Hold current General Registration. Non-VR welcome
• TGA registered Authorised Prescriber
• Current ABN
• Medical Practitioner Indemnity insurance
• 1.0 FTE long term commitment needed. You have the ability to build a long term career in a rapidly growing business.
• Previous medicinal cannabis experience required, further training provided with our CMO
• Excellent communication skills and phone manner. Our patient cohort have complex needs with both chronic disease and mental health management.
• Great organisational skills, professional manner & team management skills. Ability to work closely with a team of your nurses.
• Basic understanding of IT troubleshooting skills, given the role is working home home and relies on technology.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Provide gold standard holistic care. Assess patient clinical histories, eligibility and risks for Medicinal Cannabis therapy.
• Work closely with DVA for Medicinal Cannabis applications and script approvals
• Monitor patients’ ongoing needs and follow up appointments
• Manage a team of your dedicated Medicinal Cannabis nurses
• Collaborate within a Multidisciplinary team involving other Medical Specialists and Allied Health
• Large job satisfaction. You will be making a significant impact on the quality of lives of veterans and their families
• Large support within a multi disciplinary team consisting of other MC doctors, medical specialists and your nursing team to ensure co-ordinated patient care
• Very Supportive management and admin team. Positive team culture.

• Further training with our chief medical officer of medicinal cannabis
