What you'll be doing


Responsible to the Pharmacy Clinical Leads for the provision of specialist clinical pharmacy services to the Neurology Unit at Westmead Hospital and ensure the safe, appropriate and cost–effective use of medicines.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.

Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical hospital pharmacy practice in Neurology or equivalent extensive clinical experience
  • Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and development and implementation of initiative
