Our Client has been supporting the community of Port Stephens and beyond with high-quality care services in the areas of Community Nursing, Disability, and Home Care for over 20 years. Their team offers a range of personalized services to meet every individual’s needs, with the goal to keep people safe, well and independent in their homes and communities. 
About the Role:

We are currently seeking a caring Physiotherapist to join the community team in Port Stephens.
This is an exciting role, where you will be the first Physiotherapist to join the multidisciplinary team in the Port Stephens area. This presents as a great opportunity to shape and build the physiotherapy service. You will be supported by Physiotherapists working in other catchment area's and receive supervision as required. In this role you will provide mobile physiotherapy to those living in residential care homes as well as the community. You will see clients with DVA and Commonwealth Home Care Packages, as well as some private and NDIS clients. 
Every day will be different, but your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Assessing and treating older adult in a community-based environment
  • Developing effective therapy and rehabilitation programs to assist your clients in achieving their individual goals 
  • Conducting falls reviews and falls prevention management
  • Running various groups including balance classes
  • Producing quality reports 
  • Ensuring the effective and safe delivery of client care 
  • Developing your skillset, participating in CPD and multi-disciplinary clinical review meetings

About You:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • A passion for high-quality service delivery
  • Previous Aged Care experience is desirable
  • Strong communication and report writing skills 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Current driver's licence and reliable car
  • NDIS Check (includes Police Clearance)
