What is residential aged care? It’s like a warm hug. Our residential aged care homes are just that - a home for our residents. They provide a comforting and warm space filled with libraries, dining area, communal spaces, activity spaces, hairdressers, and of course, a bedroom and private bathroom for our residents.

We’re looking for After Hours Manager (Grade 5 Registered Nurse) on morning shifts .

As a After Hours Manager (Grade 5 Registered Nurse)  in a residential home, a typical day will see you:

  • Providing excellent, person-centred resident care in relation to each individuals needs
  • Providing guidance and support to the care team and act as a mentor in their development
  • Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet accreditation standards
  • Working collaboratively with the ACFI/funding team and management to achieve expected ACFI results and organisational targets
  • Encouraging genuine connections between residents, families and staff
  • Utilising the suite of technology to report, plan, analyse and manage resident care and workplace behaviour 
  • Up to $57 hourly rate depending on experience
  • Sea side home to 120 residents with stunning views of the peninsula
  • Recently renovated and modern apartment style home providing an innovative approach to care, allowing residents to make more personal choices, and for closer relationships to be formed

To join our excellent teams, we’re looking for more motivated Nurse’s with:

  • A current AHPRA registration and Registered Nurse qualification
  • The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Able to lead, mentor and support clinical staff effectively
  • Critical thinker with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • A high level of accountability for your own work
  • A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
