Tell me more...The Enrolled Nurse Advanced Practice (ENAS) practices within their scope of practise, under direct supervision of the Registered/Clinical Nurse and Nursing Unit Manager as part of a multidisciplinary team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and practice in the application of evidenced based clinical management of Medical/ Surgical patients and aged care residents.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with hospital and community health providers within the Torres Cape Hospital and Health Service and beyond.
  • Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture.
  • Commitment to a framework of ongoing learning and development of self and the professional development of others in the delivery of quality nursing care.

Requirements for the role:

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services.
  • It is a mandatory condition of employment in this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) hepatitis B.
