Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
Your Opportunity:
The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of developmental patients/clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of specialist developmental nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports in management activities including portfolio responsibilities.
This role specifically co-ordinates the Childhood Hearing Clinic for Older Children (CHOOC) that operates out of the Queensland Children's Hospital and acts as a case manager for children referred into the clinic. This position also provides occasional leave cover for the Childhood Hearing Clinic (CHC) CN role, which includes case management and referral triage, the co-ordination of appointments for children referred in, and supports the paediatricians during clinic sessions.
