The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian / Occupational Therapist /Pharmacist / Physiotherapist / Psychologist / Social Worker or Speech Pathologist - Team Leader (Community Rehabilitation Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the assessment of rehabilitation patients
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership and contribute expert professional advice
  • Manage the collection and analysis of high quality health information relating to service delivery and broader rehabilitation service
  • Leading the enhancement of service integration and continuously seek to identify opportunities to improve service effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Ensuring supervision, education, training needs and performance appraisal processes are in place to support a well-functioning and skilled multidisciplinary health workforce

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work or Speech Pathology
  • AHPRA Registration or membership eligibility with Dietitians Association of Australia, Australian
  • A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable
  • Association of Social Workers or Speech Pathology Australia
  • Driver Licence
  • Blue card (for roles not covered by AHPRA registration - GCH will cover cost)
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $140 767 - $146 883 per annum

The Community Rehabilitation Program comes under the Allied Health and Rehabilitation service line and provides a time-limited, goal-driven community rehabilitation service to eligible adults. The program delivers an interdisciplinary, client centred, holistic model of restorative and adaptive therapy to optimise functional capacity and quality of life. Services can be provided individually, in groups and in a range of settings including centre based, community or home based as clinically required.
