The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist (Commonwealth Home Support Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Deliver clinical services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards
  • Meet agreed activity benchmarks
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for clinical practice and participate in quality service improvement activities
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning Commonwealth Home Support Program and the multi-disciplinary team and by engaging in professional development activities
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with Commonwealth Home Support Program eligible clients and their carers within the Home Care and Allied Health multidisciplinary team.

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Aged Care Check
  • Driver licence
  • While not mandatory, experience working in a community setting would be well regarded
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent part time (53.20 hours per fortnight)
  • Base salary ranging from $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

About Us

The Gold Coast Home Care and Allied Health service is a Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funded service delivered by Gold Coast Health and funded by the Commonwealth. This community-based program employs approximately 120 staff who deliver in home care to people living across the Gold Coast Health region.
