NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services. The Family Physician will provide primary care to clients within a care model that emphasizes, disease prevention, harm reduction, health promotion, education and client empowerment. Our Longlac team is comprised of a Physician, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Dietitian, Community Health Workers and Administrative support staff.Thiscompetitive (up to $290,968 gross annually) salaried position provides an excellent compensation and benefits package, including the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and professional development and educational opportunities. An isolation travel allowance stipend is available and relocation cost allowance is negotiable.This physician position is eligible for the Northern Ontario Rural and Recruitment Initiative, Community Eligibility grant of $113,400, which is provided over a four-year period by the Ministry of Health. A community assessment visit is available to interested candidates.The Longlac community, with a population of 1,700 is a family friendly bilingual community offering many all season outdoor leisure activities for a healthy lifestyle.
