Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics

Are you an experienced RN with Anaesthetic experience in a day surgery environment?Gold Coast Private Hospital Day Surgery Unit is growing and we are seeking registered nurses who love working in a busy and dynamic environment supported by a collaborative team .As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a variety of day surgical procedures. Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 336 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Gold Coast Private Hospital is continually growing and offers exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in health care. 

As an experienced RN in anaesthetics, your role will include:

• Meeting and making patients at ease in DSU

• Assist with pre-operative assessments and preparations

• Collaborate with anaesthetist to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Ensure patient and staff safety

• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health journey

• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work well independently and within a team

• High level organisational skills to meet time constraints

• 12 months plus experience in anaesthetics

• Strong clinical skillset

• Demonstrate the ability to show initiative

• Excellent communication skills
