The WHS Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting a culture of safety, wellness, and compliance across the Retail business in both Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for:
You will be a point of influence for the entire business in placing the health, safety, and wellness of employees at the forefront of all we do, and will work across all 33 retail stores in Australia and New Zealand. This is a full-time position working a hybrid role. Travel to stores across Australia and New Zealand will be required from time to time.
Core Responsibilities:At least 2 years previous experience within a similar role. Minimum Certificate IV in WHS. Understanding of current WHS Legislation and relevant Australian & New Zealand Standards. Holds a First Aid Certificate. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure safety needs are met whilst highlighting any upcoming opportunities or threats to the business. Demonstrates a willingness to grow and develop the People and Culture department, taking initiative to investigate and further the development of the People and Culture department purpose. Shows passion for promoting safety and wellness across the business. Is passionate about our brand values, beliefs, and ethics and always acts as an ambassador for the brand. Leads by example and upholds the principles they advocate for, whether this be reporting safety issues or advocating for the ethical treatment of all employees. Conducts themselves professionally in communication with internal and external personnel, valuing the integrity of all individuals, and maintains trust and confidentiality. Works as an individual and part of a team to reach company and department goals. Time manages and prioritises tasks to suit the needs of the business. Has attention to detail and shows care with all tasks related to the role and other areas that impact the security and confidentiality of the staff and company in general. Has a strong ethical compass and is passionate about our brand values and beliefs.
