About Us
Murdoch University is home to the only Veterinary School in Western Australia, and its prestigious teaching hospital The Animal Hospital At Murdoch University provides the clinical facility that enables students to have clinical hands-on opportunity. It also provides a service to the community through its team of specialists who oversee the care and treatment of all animals referred to the hospital.

The Role
The purpose of the ECC Veterinary Supervisor is to oversee the wellbeing and performance of the ECC Veterinarians. In collaboration with the hospital leadership team provide quality control of teaching and clinical service within this area, to ensure goals are met and maintain a one hospital focus. This position has the support of two Vet Leads as direct reports and works in partnership with the Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Coordinators and Nurse Leads. Our ECC Academics form part of the ECC leadership team and actively contribute to the supportive team this position will be part of.
What you'll bring to this role
The preferred candidate will have:

  • A veterinary degree eligible for registration in Western Australia as well as post graduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience
  • Prior experience or willingness to develop as a team leader, with the ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of staff, clients, student and referring veterinarians.
  • Experience in emergency medicine in a Veterinary hospital.
